You and your team helped make Ruth’s farewell a wonderful and memorable occasion. As you will have gathered, she was a much-loved mother, mother-in-law, grandmother, great grandmother, aunt, great aunt and friend to many of different ages and backgrounds. Food was important to her as an expression of her love for others and she was never happier than when feeding people with her beautifully prepared meals, so we knew that it was important to have good food at her wake. The bowls of hot savoury and (cold) dessert helpings were absolutely delicious and everyone appreciated them. The staff were attentive, efficient and friendly and all went so well, a fitting party after the excellent service.

You are the first person I am contacting to say ‘thank you’. And rightly so! You did a tremendous job yesterday, you really did. Your staff were also a great credit to you. I have now seen many pictures of the delicious food you provided, and I must congratulate you particularly on the presentation: it was stunning. I know that you do events/afternoon teas a lot, and probably become immune to them, but you really do need to feel very proud of yourself and the team on this occasion. I just wanted to drop you an email but there is a card and gift on its way to you to say a million thank yous for putting on the most special evening ever. I couldn’t have asked for better food, better service or a better time – the last of my guests has just left and every single one had something to say about how spectacularly it was run.
You have been nothing short of a blessing to my 21st birthday, and made it more incredible than I could have ever imagined! Absolutely everything was perfect, and I’m sure my family will settle all the debts with your accounts in the next day or so, but please do let me know where I can drop off a proper token of thanks just from me later this week!
I really could not have begin to have done it with you, and am so unbelievably lucky to have had you bring all the magic to it!
